IntelliJ IDEA Version 7.0 - Milestone 2

そうこう言ってる間に出た．デモのSpring-HibernateサポートやGroovyサポートを見て一瞬トキメクが，どれも仕事で使う予定はないんだよね．ちと残念．:-(
＃GroovyサポートはまだJetGroovyプラグインの機能のようで，M2だけでは有効にならないみた．


IDEA7のFinal Releaseは年末らしいんだが，M2で結構な完成度じゃないかとRoadmapを確認してみれば，なるほどまだ未実装な機能がいくつかあるね（RefactoringsやUpdate managementまわりとか）．願わくば，Final ReleaseまでにRubyプラグインがJetGroovy並みになって欲しいもんだ．


ところで，先月末にIDEA6.0.6のRC2が出たっきりなんだけど，これもそろそろRC取れるのかしら？まあ，M2の調子が良ければIDEA6を使う事は無いだろうけど．

TSS.comの次のコメントがIDEAらしさを表現しているかと．いちいちEclipseと比較する必要はないと思うが，IDEの評価に関して無料であることがそれほど重要ではないってのは同意．

So i m not saying IDEA is bad.. just want to know what is it that IDEA still has a huge number of folks liking it even if there is a competition from a FREE & awesome tool eclipse.

Easy: iPod vs other mp3 players. They both do the same thing, just one is a pleasure to use :)

One correction...
Eclipse is a tool that is FREE and Great.
Intellij is a tool that is a Great Value and Awesome.
