J2SE 5.0 is in its Java Technology End of Life (EOL) transition period.

やっとこ仕事でJava5使えると思ってみれば，すでにEOLの過渡期に入っているという悲劇。:-)

The EOL transition period began April 8th, 2008 and will complete October 30th, 2009, when J2SE 5.0 will have reached its End of Service Life (EOSL). Customers interested in learning more about Sun's Java Technology Support and EOL policy.

ちゅうてもEOSL(End of Service Life)まで，まだ1年あるけどね。
それにJava SE for Businessという選択肢もある。

多くの職業Javaプログラマからしてみりゃ，JDK1.4で満足してる感もあるが，世の中はそっとしておいてはくれないのよね。:-P
